Now Things are Heating Up

Founds some spot news yesterday. Nothing like a good fire to brighten your day. Don't worry, the mobile home was abandoned, and no one was hurt.

Cheers.

Mr. Romance

Paul Xanthopoulos is the romance concierge at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Scottsdale. It's his job to coordinate special romantic requests, such as marriage proposals. This guy goes all out on his guests. He's got so much passion (excuse the pun) for his job, and I wish you could all hear him expound on passionate romance in his thick Greek accent.

Cheers.

Looking Into the Past

This is one of the more interesting subjects I've shot recently. Almost 50 years ago, Beverly Deane Shaver's husband was shot down in China. Shaver was told he had been killed. However, in 1992, accounts surfaced that suggested he had not been killed, and instead, he had been taken prisoner. Shaver has been searching for the truth ever since.

Cheers.

The Many Faces of Rawhide

When I was handed the assignment to shoot at Rawhide, I grumbled to myself. All photographers complain about bad assignments, but Rawhide at 4:30 in the Phoenix afternoon in the middle of summer is almost as bad as it gets.

And then I found this girl (she is the first picture in the series below). Sometimes, we find a treasure where we never expect to; it is the times that we do that keep us looking for more. The way the side window light falls on her soft, dark mahogony skin, and her eyes, piercing from the shadows behind her draping hair, all speak of an innocence that is pure and wonderful.

I hope you enjoy. Cheers.

PS-I also put up some more from the rest of the shoot
