Catalina Diving Story

This was originally going to be a photo story on diving in Catalina. However, I ended up getting very sick with a high temperature and spent most of the trip in my bunk. In the end, it wound up running as a nice picture package, though not a full story. Here are a few that ran. Enjoy.

Cheers.

The bow of the Aquatica slices through the cobalt water on its way to Catalina Island. The pea-soup fog lasted all day, extending the normal 2-hour trip from Long Beach into a more than 5-hour trek.

Because of the frigid water temperatures, divers must wrap themselves in a cocoon of neoprene to maintain body heat.

As the fog momentarily clears, the stern of the Aquatica becomes a veritable beehive of activity with divers preparing for their next dive.
