The Many Faces of Rawhide
When I was handed the assignment to shoot at Rawhide, I grumbled to myself. All photographers complain about bad assignments, but Rawhide at 4:30 in the Phoenix afternoon in the middle of summer is almost as bad as it gets.
And then I found this girl (she is the first picture in the series below). Sometimes, we find a treasure where we never expect to; it is the times that we do that keep us looking for more. The way the side window light falls on her soft, dark mahogony skin, and her eyes, piercing from the shadows behind her draping hair, all speak of an innocence that is pure and wonderful.
I hope you enjoy. Cheers.
PS-I also put up some more from the rest of the shoot

no, shooting a no-news, grip-n-grin press conference outside at noon in the summer at a construction site where nothing has been built yet is pretty close to as bad as it gets. don't complain. nice photos.
haha, heat I can take if there's decent light. but the look of high noon light with no clouds in the sky--lame! cheers.
